Seven Squared lures Harlequin shoppers with Christmas guide

Seven Squared has struck a major distribution deal that will see the Harlequin Shopping Centre Christmas gift guide inserted into a range of high-profile national and regional magazines. A total of 350,000 copies of the 20-page mini gift guide, which has a fashion-lifestyle orientation and is positioned at aspirational women buying Christmas gifts for friends and family, will be inserted into Watford and Hertfordshire regional copies of Instyle, Mail on Sunday's You, Company and Hertfordshire Life magazines. The guide, which will be distributed from the last week of October until mid-November, will also be door-dropped to aspirational shoppers living close to the Harlequin Shopping Centre, which is part of the Capital Shopping Centres group. Since Spring this year, Seven Squared has produced Shoppingetc magazine, Capital Shopping Centre's first group magazine solution, which is distributed within the group's three centres (Lakeside Shopping Centre, The Chimes Shopping Centre and Harlequin Shopping Centre). The magazine has a fashion-lifestyle orientation and is positioned at a core 25-44 target audience. The consistent newsstand quality and appeal of the magazine incorporates both regional and bespoke content and includes key editorial strands such as fashion (women, men and children), beauty, accessories, homewares, gadgets, entertainment and travel, alongside third-party advertising by the retail stores and their brands. Seven Squared picked up the brief at the end of last year following a five-way pitch against Haymarket, Publicis Blueprint, Trinity Newsgroup and Seven Publishing.
