Seven Squared was delighted to win three awards at the 2007 APA Customer Publishing Awards, in a year which saw the highest standard of entries yet. The awards, now in their ninth year, recognise the talent and creativity in the customer publishing sector. The awards night was held at The Brewery in the City of London on 21 November.
Seven Squared had an impressive 14 nominations and won awards for Most Effective Consumer Publication (Retail) for ASOS.com, Launch of the Year for Coutts and Most Effective Internal Publication for The Job (for The Metropolitan Police).
The company also achieved three 'Judges Commendation' accolades: Ed Wood for Editor of the Year (Waterstone's magazine), Nigel Slater for Journalist of the Year (Sainsbury's magazine) and Lighter Life magazine in the Most Effective Consumer publication (Non Retail) category.
Seven Squared Director, Sean King, is delighted with the clutch of awards. He said: "Seven Squared came of age at this year's APA awards. It's a fantastic achievement and a true reflection of the range of quality titles in our portfolio. Winning awards is hugely important as it gives us recognition among our peers, clients and potential clients. We were especially pleased to win the Launch category with Coutts as this year's competition was fierce, and to win the retail award, another hotly contested category, with ASOS was another huge achievement. And finally, to win for The Metropolitan Police magazine, The Job, was the icing on the cake as it just goes to show the breadth of our work."
